As many as you know, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) or as the some labeled it “Obamacare” is law effective October 1, 2013. The media has done a remarkable job in confusing the public. It’s sad that many people are adamant against Obamacare but is okay with the Affordable Care Act, not realizing that it’s one of the same. Ignorance or media brainwash?
Do you know that both Social Security (1930s) and Medicare (1960s) were established by democrats? Both programs were met with strong opposition by the opposing party labeling them “socialism” – sounds familiar? However, despite the opposition, both Medicare and Social Security were enacted and became quite popular. Today, many Americans rely heavily on those programs for their livelihood and care.
The bottom line is, people will dispute ACA or Obamacare because it was enacted by a democrat, a black president, fear, change, etc. People fear what they don’t know, so my advice to you is to get educated before passing judgment. Don’t rely on the words out of the reporters and politicians mouths to help you make your decision. Do your own research and get in the know. Knowledge is power!
