The start of holiday season is upon us which also is the biggest and busiest shopping season.  Many companies begin their promotional ads to entice customers to shop early.  While some consumers prefer to shop early, many wait for last minute deals.  Some may have already completed their shopping for this year’s gifts last Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Though September is still too early for me to start my holiday shopping, it’s the perfect opportunity for a different kind of savings.  At this time, most stores i.e. Macy’s, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, etc. have their end of season clearance to make room for fall and winter stocks.  As a thrifty shopper, it’s the perfect time to shop for next summer’s clothing for my 6 year old girl.  As a working mom with very little time to peruse the stores and malls, I do most of my shopping online; this saves me a ton of time and money.

It’s one of the best money saving tips even if you have major disposable income.  You save a ton by purchasing clothing that is a size bigger so by the time next summer comes around; they will fit your child or children perfectly.  You can also save by purchasing on eBay.  eBay do not only sell used items, there are eBay stores to shop from as well.  Happy and thrifty shopping everyone!
